Chicago on Washington Street

During the Chicago Architecture Biennial 2017, the Chicago Architecture Center hosted a series of Teen Design Studios at the Chicago Cultural Center as part of their youth programming.

Borderless participated in this series through a mapping workshop with teens – the task:

to create a collaborative map of Chicago in a public space.

Teens were challenged not only with drawing to a larger scale a map –from their tabloid size paper sheets to a public sidewalk on Washington Street– , but also to test their geographic knowledge of the different neighborhoods in the city.
