Collaborative HYPAR
Inspired in the exhibition Félix Candela's Concrete Shells: An Engineered Architecture for México and Chicago at Gallery 400, Borderless was invited to design and facilitate a collaborative workshop to explore the science behind the signature hyperbolic paraboloid geometries that distinguish Candela's architecture work.
Participants explored HYPARs (short for HYperbolic PARaboloids) and activated the gallery space through a sequence of collective performance, personal building and team assembly.
