West Ward Neighborhood Plan
Located ~75 miles West of New York City (1.5 hrs), the City of Easton, Pennsylvania was founded in 1752. Contiguous to the active downtown is Easton's most densely populated neighborhood – the West Ward (~10,000 residents / ~550 acres). The West Ward has a proud and diverse resident base (46% white, 32% hispanic & 15% black) with tremendous historic assets, yet facing several challenges related to safety, shifting population and aging housing stock.
The City completed their Easton Comprehensive Plan 2035 in 2017, and in 2018 advanced its neighborhood planning efforts moving forward with West Ward plan in collaboration with the Greater Easton Development Partnership.
During this nine-month planning process led by Camiros Ltd., Borderless collaborated in the community engagement activities as well as developing the planning themes, principles and redevelopment strategies for the plan.
